Projects and the SDM milestones (M1-M5)

A Project is the container for delivery work with a client, separate from the well-level data under Wellbores. Everything under the ENGAGEMENT menu — Goals, Milestones, Initiatives, Meetings, Tasks and Documents — is scoped to a project. Stepwise structures delivery around the Stepwise Delivery Model (SDM), a five-milestone cycle: M1 Mobilisation & Governance Establishment, M2 Baseline & Well Preparation Alignment, M3 Execution & Structured Monitoring, M4 Verification and Impact Validation, and M5 Continuous Learning and Optimization. M1 and M5 run once per project; M2 to M4 repeat for each wellbore in the project.

Working with a project

1. Select or create the project you're working in from the project selector at the top of any ENGAGEMENT page. To add a new project, select the Manage Projects icon next to the selector, then + Add Project and give it a name.
2. Go to Milestones to see the M1-M5 items for the project, each showing a Status, Target Date and Open Tasks count.
3. Open a milestone to see its objective and its task checklist. Select + Add Task to add a task, or open a task to update it.

Tracking progress with Goals

Goals shows the same M1-M5 milestones as a progress view — Status (Not started, On track, Completed), Owner and Target Date — so you can see delivery progress across the whole project without opening each milestone individually.
